Founders

LMR Partners LLP is a hedge fund management firm established in 2009. LMR brings together the diverse and successful investment expertise of three founding partners: Ben Levine, Andrew Manuel and Stefan Renold.

Ben Levine was most recently a Managing Director, Co-Head of European Cash Equity Trading at UBS Investment Bank. His responsibilities at UBS included running the Quantitative Trading team and managing the Program Trading and Sector Trading risk businesses. Prior to this he was a Vice President at Goldman Sachs where he was working in Quantitative Trading and Program Trading. Ben has a BA in Economics from the University of Cambridge and an MSc in Econometrics from the London School of Economics.

Andrew Manuel, having previously spent eight years at Goldman Sachs, has most recently been devising and advising on hedging strategies for the LGT Group. During his time at Goldman Sachs Andrew managed a discretionary macro book. He originally started his career there as a Trader on the Program Trading desk within the Equities Division. Andrew has a BSc in Mathematics and Economics from Nottingham University.

Stefan Renold was most recently a Proprietary Trader within the Quantitative Trading team at UBS Investment Bank. Prior to this he worked as a Trader for UBS’s Algorithmic Trading team, where he was responsible for the modelling and design of the UBS Equity Execution algorithms. Stefan has a BA in Mathematics from the University of Cambridge.
